Pros & Cons
Pros
Press your grease gun on the adapter’s * and give it a squeeze. Next, place the socket & extender on the * end. Use this to slide on and grease them.
Not as fast as the straight-on coupler, but works when there's only a pinch of space above the zerk. Work great on any zerks without obstructions. One of the zirk fittings for a swaybar endlink was positioned right inline with the cars cv axleshaft.
Cons
The connection to my grease gun creates too much flex and instability to apply enough pressure to get the fitting securely connect to the zerk. Hard to get onto zerk fitting, hard to get off, leaks a lot of grease to get a little into the bearings. Ve... Read More
Only good for 1,000 psi. May be good for lawn mower but not heavy equipment. Not good for tight places. Would not seal.
I now know why coworkers laughed when i bought one. Appears to be a flaw. Doesn't work. Who's the bigger idiot, the one who invented it, or me for thinking it would actually work.
Highlights
Quality
One of the zerk fittings for a swaybar endlink was positioned right inline with the cars cv axleshaft
Works great for hard to get grease zerts
Next place the socket extender on the nipple end and give it a few light taps with the hammer to seat the adapter
Had a fitting or two that a regular grease hose just cant do a quick 90to close and interfere with the surounding metal
Packaging/appearance
Polaris engineering has an access hole underneath the rzr that misses the driveshaft spline grease zerk by a couple of inches
The way it was designed you can only access the grease fittings from the side
It took a little maneuvering to get it in place and set right so the grease didnt pour out the side
Competitiveness
I use a small pry tool to help remove from greese fitting
I plan to use it often for other hard to reach lubing
Not fun to remove from greese fitting
But there is a solid method for locking it on using a 11mm 716 socket on a extension to hold it then pushing the coupler tool onto the zerk
