There is a competition speaker that looks identical to the ht770 but it too does not perform as well across the entire frequency band as compared to the ht770

I wouldnt drive these with the rated power but for a living room i bought five to replace the bose reds these actually have better frequency response

I went ahead and bought a 3rd speaker to match the other two even though the center channel wasnt blown

I did take off one star because as one reviewer wrote the receiving holes for the wires are very small and i had to strip remove some of the strands for it to fit
