The weight of the case is a bit heavy, but it protects well. The top padding is adequate but the rest of the cases is roomy and cushiony.

There is a large exterior zippered pocket that is large enough for sheet music. It comes with a shoulder strap, or you can snap the backpack straps to it, easy-peasy.
