Pros & Cons
Pros
The case is very light and very durable. It is lightweight enough to be comfortable carrying around my vintage king 3b but durable enough to protect it from harm. Light, sturdy, good room, and kid proof.
The case comes with attached backpack straps, a mouthpiece pouch, and a detachable shoulder strap. There is a slot for my cleaning rod which i feel is a bonus. I have a hard case for my reading glasses that also holds my tube of yamaha slide lube.
My bach 42b fits snugly in the case, no extra movement. My son's bach 42g trigger * fits very nicely. I play a king 3b and this is a perfect case.
Overall, having just a brief tryout, this appears to be top quality and an especially good price to go along with it. It does everything i want and more. I love this case and a lot of my friends are jealous- amazing price, too!
Cons
When you close the lid the slide rubs the trigger. It's awfully pricey for only a year of use before a critical component like the zipper gave out.
Highlights
Quality
She fits really well and i was impressed with the other compartments
However very pleased with price and purchase
I tried gently to see if there would be any issue with the parts hitting each other but they did not
Great quality case but our trombone has a 7
Price
Worked well for my son good price point
Packaging/appearance
Another nice feature is the fullsize pouch to hold sheet music and books
Was looking for a case after original had water damage
Competitiveness
It’s lightweight but also sturdy and the shoulder strap makes it so much easier to take to rehearsals and competitions
I have purchased a few protec cases one for each of my kids
I bought the smaller protec max a couple months ago for my straight king 3b i like that one equally as well
If it lasts like the old protec case ill buy another in about a decade
