Pros & Cons
Pros
Th grader and 10-year-old love this case. Great fit for alto saxophone. Great shoulder strap.
The case has a hard shell, well padded interior, and snug fit. Brought this case as a christmas present for my 11 year old grandson.
Additional spaces for neck and mouthpiece. Enough pockets for spare reeds, and strap. Large outside pocket that holds a music folder.
The backpack straps are well concealed behind a piece of material secured with velcro. The detachable shoulder strap is well made and easy to attach/detach. They make it sound like the backpap straps are optional as in ordered separately or are attach... Read More
Cons
The martin has the bb and b keys on the left side of the bell which prevents the case from closing. Also, the downside, the xl case only comes in black.
Highlights
Quality
We were all impressed with the protec
Good quality product which is much lighter than the hard case which comes with the saxophone
I agree with the annoyance that the hinge tether straps make it flop back due to the weight of the top half of the case when you open it
Price
Price is not excellent but the product itself is very very good
Competitiveness
I have a guard leather gig bag a selmer double roller gig bag and a protec hard shell gig bag all for alto sax
They are actually there all the time and nicely tucked away behind a smooth velcroed panel

People didnt lie when they say that the outside pocket doesnt fit much we can get our neck strap cork grease and extra reeds in with no problem but it will look very bulkyovercrowded if we take the shoulder strap off the case and shove that in there as well

Older saxophones often have the tone holes on the opposite side of the bell or on both sides making it difficult for them to fit into this case
