Pros & Cons
Pros
The case is plastic but is very secured. Very sturdy and simple. Although, it creases my reeds but that’s me being picky.
The protec reed case is perfect at keeping my reeds in order and in good condition. Unless you're truly adverse to fingerprints since this one has a glossy finish and the vandoren case has a matte finish.
Cons
The reed slots are too narrow and there is no free-flowing flipping between sides. If you push in too far it creates an indentation on the vamp of the reed. The case has no air circulation so the reeds can mold very easily.
Highlights
Quality
I loved it it is very sturdy keeps my reeds firm and safe and i can store up to a dozen reeds
Easy to use holds 12 reeds and each slot is numbered which is great for those of us that do a 34reed rotation
I got this after my sons clarinet teacher told me his reads were molding and his previous case
Actually the sides does not clamp down the reeds at all
Price
For this price this case is definitely a value for money
For the price this is an excellent reed holder
This one holds 12 reeds and its about half of the cost of the vandoren one
95 priced during this writing its overpriced
Packaging/appearance
Im not sure if they received a different case than the one i got but mine is perfectjust like my previous model
Competitiveness
I usually use vandoren v12 reeds but i have some ricos which would also fit in the case as they are the same length as the v12s... Read More
