I noticed that my case did not seem to protect my clarinet well and i was told by the instrument technician that little dust mites can get inside the case and they eat the pads

However i cant recommend the optional backpack straps look at the reviews and you will see many people using it with various compatible instrument cases have had the strap clasp come open and release by itself a drop risk

Also when the straps are attached the case becomes overly bulky as the straps are large and protrude a lot making it hard to put the case down without being kind of a mess and it wont lay flat
