Pros

Because of is width and horizontal positioning, it outlines the entire profile of the stud in the wall with leds. This target area for a stud is confirmed by repeating measurement vertically in several places for each stud.

This is one of the easiest to operate stud finders i've ever used. If you combine this with a magnetic stud finder that is the best solution. If franklin (or you) can figure out a better way for the pads to stick then it’s a winner!

Cons

The lights that are meant to indicate where the entire side of the stud is have absolutely no accuracy or rhyme or reason to them. The wall is an outside wall with no pipes or conduit. Will be purchasing a higher quality unit constructed out of better... Read More

Unplugged it and plugged it back in. Tried brand new batteries. Won't turn on at all. Double checked the batteries, tried new batteries- just dead.

Torn on this one. Very disappointed. It needs to be tougher.

This one is accurate and consistent even on thick panel covered plaster walls

The constant calibration and following leds make it the easiest stud finder i have ever used

It seems i go through so many that ends up breaking out poorly made

No calibration… just plop it on the wall and boom… the entire stud is showing

Worth every penny to know exactly where the studs are

I save nothing by spending 13 for something that was useless

I know it was the price but im foolish for not spending the 55ish for this stud finder

The first one from costco for 30 was fantastic so i tried another

Upon receiving this model i quickly went to the same location and was able to mark the exact studs everywhere i test it

Yet again nextday delivery was estimated but the product wasnt shipped until 2 days later

They sent me a replacement board within days

Competitiveness

Ive owned several zircon models from cheap to quite expensive but this has to be the best ive used so far

The other stud finders ive tried were next to useless compared to this one

I’ve purchase other brand which are more expensive and none are more accurate than this one for actually finding studs

But beyond that i didnt find it any more accurate than other sensors that ive bought from lowes or home depot for the same or less cost
