Im sure the catch is ok but not wanting to take any chance it may fail ive fabricated a bracket to secure screen when in upright position

Had to add an extra bit of wood as a filler as the bracket didnt sit forward enough for us

Although this is a well constructed bracket it is way too big to fit under a standard kitchen cabinet

This puts maximum dependency on the screws which add friction to the pivot movement to prevent it from tilting downwards until the centre of gravity is below the pivot point

If id fitted it such that the tv was further down the height extender i dont think this would have been as much of an problem
