Pros & Cons
Pros
It saves fumbling with a full function electrical tester. Allowing it to be inside of the power pedestal box reduces temptation for someone to procure it without permission. It provides a very easy way to test a pedistal before hooking up out rv.
Cons
Item fails upon first power surge and is then faulty. Would not recommend.

I think this is due to two reasons wear on the post recepticle and the additional distance between our cord and the plugin
Not a full ems system but for a quick check of the land line it works great and an added surge protection is much better than nothing
The surge protector itself recently was replaced as it performed its job when an electric pole was hit by lightning
Price
It does what it is supposed to for less than other “resettable” units
Packaging/appearance
We ended up wrapping a bungee cord around the whole box to hold the plug tight on several occasions to keep things tight
