I cant offer any insights on the life of these batteries but the entire kit was about onehalf what i paid for one battery through a local battery store a couple of years ago and that battery died from inactivity within 3 years

The only gripe i have concerning these chargers is that in my canon hf10 the battery is a loose and is not 100 an exact fit so if you rub it or tap it with your hand you bump it out of place and the camera looses power because the battery is just a smidge bit loose

These little batteries fit and function just as good or better than the canon originals that cost me more than twice as much you wont find a better deal to keep your camera up and running than this

The batteries charged quickly and the old batteries i thought were dead also charged but not as quickly
