Consumer reports ratings and recommendations are very amateurish. Since it is past the 1-year warranty, it is my tough luck. Shame on consumer reports, it's not the first time i've been let down by one of their recommendations.

It is inexcusable. It is unacceptable. Just buy something else. stay away from this microwave.

S of on with a pulsing/buzzing sound and the unit shuts itself off. When it shuts or when you push the button to open it the machine slides backward.

The results for heating surprisingly poor. The meals were heated unevenly. I know it's a subjective opinion, but i didn't have a thermometer.
