The scissors are excellent! I am not a professional stylist but the scissors worked great! These are solid and good scissors that do the job. No, the shears are not made with folded steel, but appear to be a high quality tempered stainless.

The only caution i'd advise is to err on the side of trimming less than you might think you should until you get the knack. It's a good length for me, i'm a novel at pet grooming and now have a long haried dog.

Cons

Whether by poor design or defective protect, these thinning sheets are unusable. The scissors bind mid way on the thinning times and lock up preventing any cutting.
