Pros

Nothing fancy here just a good cup of coffee as the end result. This makes good coffee and i like that you can pour out a cup before it's done. It keeps me from missing my coffee ever and that is why i keep a spare on hand.

This coffee maker is a great value for the amount spent. It has the sprinkler system so you get a great coffee in the pot.

It brews very quickly. Simple on-off switch, brew interrupt works flawlessly. We have the pot hooked into a standard light timer so that the coffee maker turns on in the morning and stays on until late afternoon.

Cons

The carafe lid is a terrible design. The lid where you pour the water is so large i have to pull it out from under the cupboards to fill the reservoir.

Anyway he is pleased with the proctor silex i know its an old brand

I would recommend this to anyone who wants a simple to use product

One problem with the design of this particular machine is that the top of the machine itself will pop up when brewing the coffee

I dont have a problem with the filters bending over and grounds getting into my coffee

Price

This one surprisingly for the price is the best one yet

Price was reasonable did not require me going to different stores to find the one i wanted

Most of all the price is much better than my personal coffee maker

I never have to remove the carafes lid

I then poured from the carafe into the brewing receptacle

Competitiveness

Lasts as long as some of the more expensive brands

Have had several coffee makers over the past 40 odd years various brands and price ranges

So i went back to a procter silex this model
