For one thing its the only one that holds the phone in place and doesnt slowly collapse

But with those the weight of the phone is enough that it wont really stay in place

Its just much steadier to hold the phone that way

The phone grip is a bit tight and may not fit larger phones and phones with cases on them so keep that in mind
