The headband is perfect. Snug fit but not uncomfortable. I really like how these fold up compact.

The feather is lighter than the previous one. It is also more comfortable to wear than the old one. The feather comes in a variety of sizes, from small to large.
Cons

The vanderfields muffs have a couple millimeter gap between the cushion and the edge of the outer shell, which is what i recieved. After 10 minutes, it starts to feel like i have spring-loaded clothes pins pinching on my ears.

I purchased two of these for myself and my wife and the ear protectors come twisted into a compact ball that is cumbersome difficult to unwind place and adjust on the head and ears and sometimes painful
