Pros

Sturdy pages, great cover, and so handy for commute sketches. The perforation allows each page to be easily and neatly removed. Easy to carry in my shoulder bag with my microns, pencil and eraser.

I'm not too fussy because i bought it for myself, but if it were a gift, i'd have had to go through the hassle of replacing it. Arrived a little damaged on the back cover but its no biggie. Works ok and takes very light watercolor washes.

Cons

Out of the packaging there is no back cover and the teeth for the binding are all messed up. I'm not sure if this is just a re-branding or if i was sent an entirely different product.
