Without giving spoilers jamie mcfarlane has our intrepid heroes in hot water on a new planet new rules complex new societal and political landmines to skirt in short they are in trouble and as usual getting the short end of the stick

This book however felt more like it was a bridging piece to get to a bigger story about to happen and they just had to set up the reader for the next book

Again there was a lot of build up throughout the story then a quick incomplete finish

Any in the series can be read as a stand alone novel but the irs cohesiveness between books
