They told me they had not had this happen before and sent a new kettle overnight

Original review the metal pins in the handle are not wellsecured and work loose from the teapot causing the handle to fail

When i picked up the kettle this evening to fill it i felt a prick on my hand and the top wouldnt open when pushed the lever

It’s unsettling and if your hands are tied up when it starts to whistle it’s very uncomfortable to be around until you’re able to shut it off

The accompanying instructions state not to use highest heat burner setting

This is probably to prevent melting the rubber coating of the upper part of the spout allowing for relatively quiet operation of the spout lid
