Pros & Cons

Pros

It performs a basic and necessary function in the repair of window and door screens. This handy * makes fixing the screen a walk in the park. It makes the process much quicker.

The product is strong, seems durable and works just as it should. Strong and sturdy enough to hold up to the thick pet resistant screen i bought. Not as sturdy as the expensive ones but completely adequate and at a great price.

Cons

Solid wood handle but roller wheels hinges are weak. Wheels wobble making tool impractical.

Prime-line shows off and advertises a lot of specialties product. Would have been nice to know before ordering this p05. What should have been a dual application tool is a single use tool.

The cross section of concave or convex is very thin. The rolling blade is about 1/3 of the spline. The other end seems to be a cutter but too dull.

Makes putting up screen a snap

I had to rescreen a kitchen window and couldnt find dads spline tool so i ordered this

I also only use the single edge side in my opinion

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I’ve noticed that when you use the double side sometimes it will actually tear a little hole on the inside corner where you are laying the screen mesh and then you have to redo the replacement

Also i found if you’re trying to get it in it is helpful to have a flathead screwdriver to push in the corners and then also i would pull the screen nice and tight while at the same time you’re going to pull the rubber spline nice and tight so that it can make it easy for you to roll it into the frame and then loosen up so that the rubber can expand once it’s sitting in the frame

But after using it for several screen replacements it has worked well and the flimsieness actually lends to it working well and it was actually super cheap

Our dogs always seem to pop out corners of our screens
