I looked for tabs similar to these at home depot to replace my original tabs however all they had were metal tabs

This tabs were good replacements for the former tabs that turned brittle over 20 years

Otherwise you will smash the claw into the screen slot with the spline sitting on top of the smashed claw instead of in the claw
