Pros

It lays down like a gouache without the heavier cover of gouache. The tin is small and great for painting on the go. The colours are so clean and work perfectly for portraits.

Yes as pictured. It’s my first and i plan to purchase other sets.

Cons

Paints are not transparent, which i knew going in. If you don't have those sets then this isn't a waste of money.

These are high quality imo and easy to use

I think the quality in these paints is pretty good

Many of the colors a tiny bit chalky and not not smooth

The only real fugitive colors i have encountered in this set are 41 lemonade and 95 redwood

Price

An added bonus is this was roughly 10 cheaper than one of my favorite art sites

I love the price and the color

A bit pricey now that they have become popular but i will say that they are worth it

Accidentally received the wrong set the first time and the customer service was was quick to replace the set

That being said it still looks beautiful on the swatch card

I can’t compare to gouache because i’ve never used it but i love how pigmented this palette is
