Pros
Simple device with no moving parts, makes opening envelopes much easier than when using hands alone. It glides across an envelope in a thoroughly satisfying manner. Opens letters boxes and without any fear of cutting yourself.
My accounts payable department loves them. These days, gold is tacky and cheap to many. I bet that is intentional so you keep buying more, or buy in larger quantities.
The angle of the blade is perfect, and letters just glide open. The plastic design with the metal cutter is a winner. The cutter is very sharp, unlike traditional letter openers.

Presto blade is sharp wont jam but unlike others presto design makes it impossible to cut yourself

Just put the letters flap up tap on a hard surface to get the enclosures to be on the bottom or you will cut the letters in half slide away
