We had this salad spinner for years and the pull string finally broke

Unfortunately the pull cord on my previous unit chafed and eventually broke

That being said this spinner spins only one way since there is no reverse motion the lettuce does not get as dry as it would in spinners where the basket spins both ways

This says dishwashersafe but it got ruined in my dishwasher aftern it arrived i meani clean all new stuff clothes especially a salad spinner the bowl part was all split and cracking after the first wash
