Pros & Cons
Pros
This powdered sugar container holds a full 2 lb. In my opinion, this is easier and more sanitary. The lid seems ok. It is snuggly affixed to the lid.
Brown sugar stays super soft in the airtight container. When i use brown sugar, i get them both out and soak the clay disk in water for 15 minutes. My brown sugar stays loose & ready for use!
The terra cotta disk is the magic touch, for sure. Comes with the terracotta disk, which is reusable.
Cons
These containers are not very durable. They are very flimsy and break easily. Spend the extra 2 cents for a better quality disc for heavens sake. Product is well made, but it is too small to fairly call a flour keeper.

Price
The price was great i was going to purchase one from king arthur for a lot more plus shipping and i am glad i went with this one
A for usage but i wish it werent quite so costly
I would of saved so much money on brown sugar
Packaging/appearance
I washed it soaked the ceramic ring and when dry put in my brown sugar
Arrived as pictured only thing was the terracotta disc was slightly broken but nothing that would make it unusable
I had brown sugar packages that i could have used as the foundation of an adobe brick home
Competitiveness
I googled 34best way to store brown sugar34 and items similar to this one came up but for more money
I found this item looked the same as more expensive ones and gave it a go
Works better than other products ive tried
Another thing i appreciate about this product is that it is easy to open and close compared to other air tight containers
