No problems pairing with my samsung a3 mobile phone and samsung tab s2 tablet running android v7 os after changing the volume key function on both devices to take pictures instead of the volume buttons

The manual was a little unclear about which way up the battery goes take a second or five to work it out before getting the battery stuck upside down as i did

I use the adobe lightroom cc for mobiles camera and or the built in moto g6 camera app that comes with this model of phone

Both allow using the volume setting for the camera shutter and when linking the bluetooth selfie remote it automatically set itself to use that feature without any extra drilling down into the moto g 6 os
