The plastic wrapping however was really annoying as it had to unscrew part of the table to remove it

However the manufacturer wraps the tabletop in cellophane held beneath the screws and batons before screwing the top and the wrapping to the legs

The wrapping is thus made very fiddley and difficult to remove

You need a knife to do it its hard to do it evenly or without scratching the wood on the underside of the tabletop
