The issue is simply a lack of bluetooth connectivity and therefore your phone doesnt tell you the airpods are charging and a notification keeps coming up saying my airpods are near by

I wont ding this products rating hence the 4 stars but please be aware and dont make the same mistake i did if you lose your original apple case

This product is in no way a replacement for the original as there is not a way to pair airpods without an apple case

I was having bluetooth trouble and selected the forget this device option to start from scratch only to learn that there is no manual workaround

I had bought mine from apple and found the serial number buried in the invoice from a link in the order confirmation
