I had to sand the coating off the area around the mounting bolt for the brake lever in order for the brake to return fully on its own

While at a stop light i checked to see how my brake lights were working with the new levers in and noticed that the brake light switch was not activating at the same position that i could feel that the brakes were applying stopping pressure to the brake rotors

Use a small paint pen to mark where the brake light switch hits the brake lever then remove the lever from the bike and using a titanium drill bit create a very small divot in the part of the lever that touches the brake light switch
