Pros & Cons
Pros
My target hr during cardo is between 175 and 180 and this is the range that this monitor projects to my phone. It has the same bpm as my apple watch (assuming the apple watch is accurate) the hr seems very accurate and has been a game changer with my ... Read More
Powr labs' heart rate monitor pairs directly with apple watch via bluetooth. It syncs right up to my watch and phone apps.
Granted, the hrm's mission isn't too complicated. It's getting the job done just fine, at a fraction of the price of other replacement options.
It works flawlessly everywhere so far. How long it lasts only time will tell. Highly recommend it to anyone.
Cons
Started my run, no heartbeat very frustrating. It is supposed to connect to the apple watch, it does for about 10-30 secs, then it disconnects. I spend more time messing with the band trying to get it to track my hr then completing my workout.
Highlights
Quality
Easy to install actually does work with polar beat and based on all of my evaluation is very accurate and stable
Easy setup and integrates seamlessly with workout apps
Replaced the battery twice but on the third battery it died and wouldnt work on a good battery
Dampened the strap as recommended and still nothing
Price
For the price this is great value
This is perfect for what i need and was reasonably priced
Bought this because my 100 garmin heart rate chest monitor failed after a year due to sweat or something
This was less expensive so it was worth the risk
Shipping
Update after my 1star unhappy review the company reached out to me and offered a refund and shipped a brand new unit to try again
I suspect the monitor had been on a shelf for quite awhile before it was sold shipped
Packaging/appearance
I looked through a few video reviews and finally found an unboxing one that showed exactly where to dampen the strap
Competitiveness
This is better than garmin or polar monitors that cost twice as much
It is a great value compared to the big brand name straps
It appears to be more accurate than the garmin hrm at half the cost
Seems to be in the same ranges as my garmin and pixel watch
