By some stroke of luck i ordered this generator 2 weeks before they forecast hurricane sandy to hit the east coast

One concern was that the battery would be dead as i had read many reviews before purchasing this generator were that was the case

Unfortunately during shipping the side support housing was damaged

I expect the delivery company did not follow factory instructions and moved the powermate from the wrong side using a two wheel dolley damaging the support

Lesson learned buy this type of equipment from a local company costco and eliminate the opportunity for shipping damage

The wheels were clamped onto ushaped steel brackets which didnt have crush sleeves in them so the brackets got a little bent under the clamping pressure

A quart of engine oil was supplied but it wasnt clear if the engine was already filled
