Powder wars is a true crime book about the docks of liverpool. Liverpool becomes saturated with various deadly narcotics, brought in by the infamous drugs baron '*' curtis warren. Tells the story of the liverpool underground and gangsters involved.
Cons
Didn't like the stayle of writing. Very little in the way of inter character communication. Interesting insight but gets repetitive and boring. And he says he beat up curtis warren which didn't help as curtis was a lot younger than him.

Purchased for a friend he highly recommends the book and he thought the price was cheap he was made up

Although through his criminal life he was a bully and a theif and beat many people as they says what goes around comes around

Paul grimes who in his own admission was no saint but still had an old school code to not deal drugs just almost anything else that could be sold

Cant help feel sorry for grimes stuck in his old ways and didnt like change certainly was a handful and could handle himself very anti drug and firm on his beliefs which is possibly why he ended up broke

The public dont realise what a dangerous job this type of work is and for mps to critisise police and customs officers who put their lives at risk is a down right insult

What were the police doing the tail end of the book was an eye opener and the behaviour of the policecustoms and judiciary including the mp was like something out of a hollywood drama
