Pros & Cons
Pros
No regrets, this tool works incredibly well. It’s super handy. Liked ease of use for this product.
There is no bump option but for the work i do, that is an advantage. No jams or issues with it. No malfunctions. No jam or issue.
It's a little on the heavier side, (it has to be to be able to have the power that it has) but by no means is it too heavy to use all day. It's definitely nice not having to drag a compressor & hose around. No hassle with hoses.
Only downside is that it's a bit bulkier than normal pneumatic nail guns. Works well, though the slight delay in firing the nail will take some getting used to for those accustomed to air nailers.
Cons
It works a little bit, then doesn't. Doesn't sink nails completely even in pine. There is a magneto or similar mechanism, that spins and works great for about 200 nails or so.
Inside the porter cable box was a cheap central pneumatic brand tool. The nailer is in the process of being returned. Mine is completely junk and worthless. Will not buy another like it, or recommend it to anyone else.
Highlights
Quality
Nail depth is easy to set and visual helps know what adjustment is being made
As always a good quality product made by porter cable
The defective nailer needed to be reset after 35 nails being driven
0ah battery and was able to to get through 75 nails and still had 2 bars left when i checked on a drill
Price
I was looking for something electrical and not pneumatic and the price was right
The dewalt is twice as expensive and will likely not be used enough to justify the price difference
Shipping
We bought this to install shiplap onto a framed out fireplace bumpout and it worked great
Works nice sent in timely manner thank you
Easily paid itself off in time saved
Competitiveness
The deal for this amazin was the lowest i could find and i already am deep into the porter cable brand so i went for it
It does take a second or so to cycle up to fire so in that respect it’s slow but other brands i’ve used were similar
I have a number of cableporter cordless tools and like them wanted the same brand because they all use the same battery

While it is true that it does not fire instantaneously when you pull the trigger there is something reassuring about the sound of it spoiling up
