You cant depend on standard charging cables as some are power only while others are power and data but both are looking similar in color generally white or black hence you get confused and at risk

Many rental cars are slowly losing the capability to charge through multiple sockets and are only offering usb alternatives

Havent used this a ton of times cant say how much losing the data link slows charging for galaxy s9 but id guess public ports are gonna be slow anyway
