Pros
Carplay always activates when plugged into the jeep.
This data blocker is great. It passes only the usb power pins on, disconnecting the usb signal pins to prevent unwanted access. There are 2 data blockers that come with the packet.
Cons
Usb * shortens the data pins together in the cable. Almost like it shorts the plug or something. They now only charge for a few seconds (of at all) before charging stops.

Yes virginia there are people capable of hacking into systems where you charge your phone or laptop publicly who can “suck” info from your device you do not want to share
