Pros
It is like having a helper when cutting long pieces. Much easier than dragging the wife out to the shop as a helper. There are cheaper alternatives, but they’re not as well made.
Cons
The rubber protector was cracked and just fell off. Tightening the locking mechanism, which holds the vertical bar in position, leaves dents in the flat stock tac welded into the u-channel. One of the legs was manufactured incorrectly.
Every time i (gently) tighten the handle at a desired height, it leaves a screw mark in the metal. Adjusting them to the right height for your saw was also really frustrating.
They have a ways to go before this prototype belongs in a shop. It would be better priced at $25 not $60. Very cheaply made, not a heavy duty product product.

I decided to try this one and the price was good
Debated on getting a less expensive one but glad i spent a few more dollars on this one

I does not have the 34stiff34 roller that made me think there were no ball bearings

Rather it looks like the first unit was binding up due to a tight fitting plastic bushing at the end of the roller

The other problem i had with the first unit was a failed weld joint on the nut the height adjustment handle screws into see photo below

Im upgrading my rating from 2 to 4 stars based on this and on the response from the vendororiginal reviewthis is advertised as a ball bearing roller but there are no ball bearings just a metal rod through holes in the bracket
