During the actual drive this carrier was put inside the hugest metal dog crate you can buy latched then the door to the green carrier was opened so the cats could roam in the metal dog crate

Our dog does not have anxiety issues or is not a chewer so he didnt attempt to destroy the carrier

We struggled a little getting one side to lock into the open position but we switched to try the other side and it locked into place without a problem then the difficult side also cooperated so if youre also struggling try on the other side 1st and see if that solves the issue
