Pros

The unit is visually pleasing along with a very soft satin like material. The shell of the device is plastic but it has a really soft, smooth matte texture. Always do your research on batteries and handle them responsibly.

Soft ribbon pull tab confidently ejects the batteries. The battery door lid is magnetic.

This charger fits both my recycled notebook batteries and the actual 18650's with the tips. Perfect to charge 2 18650 batteries and double as an emergency charger when traveling.

This is just about perfect like all the other xtar chargers i have. It also serves as a battery charger. Though this particular charger doesn't account for everything that could befall an exposed battery.

I have a tiny rechargeable oscilloscope that only takes a few ma initially and climbs up to about an amp via the smart charging ic. Here is my test. Watt hours. Watt hours and 3297 ma or 12. Watt. Amps on the usb meter.

Cons

The battery compartment is slightly too small to fit a standard 18650 lithium battery. With 2 batteries it is almost impossible to remove them without forceful prying. The inaccuracy of the power gauge is very erratic. The led dots are useless.

I use my xtar unit to charge and house a spare pair of 18650 batteries and it does the job for me
