Pros & Cons
Pros
This is a good pool net and it seems to be very sturdy. I like the silicone edge as it does not scratch the plaster on the pool. Very handy to use this larger strainer.
We have cypress trees along side fence on both sides of pool. When windy get the standard debris plus all the dead cypress bits, fills up basket 3x a day. Using in a 7-man hot tub.
Cons
It's a good enough net, but it immediately rusted in a key structural area. Whole thing looks flimsy. It should have been made of a sturdy plastic or non-rusting material.
This whale net is the worst scooper i've used in my whole 18 years of owning my swimming pool. The rake barely fits in the pole, the diameter is to large making it hard to attache. Pole after about a week bent in half.
Highlights
Quality
Very sturdy around the upper edge moves smoothly over the bottom we have a concrete pool and picks up even tiny debris
High quality netting makes getting debris out of my pool much easier
This net was extremely strong and picked up leaves and debris easily
Flip it over and bounce it a few times and the net falls back through and you are ready for another scoop to start
Price
Pool net works well and is very reasonably priced
Having purchased many high priced skimmers from my local pool store i was happy to find this one from poolwhale at a much lower cost
Hard to beat the value of this net for the price
Otherwise it’s a good item the price
Shipping
The item was received quickly and the quality exceeded expectations
We havent had it for long maybe 10 days
Competitiveness
Ive used other skimmer nets in the past that were much cheaper quality for the same or even higher price

Ive always been disappointed with the various pool nets we have owned needing one for fine debris one for the many tiny needles constantly falling into the pool from our pine trees one for the many regular leaves that are so heavy to remove at times

And emptying it is a cinch i just extend the pole over the side with a twist of the pole turn the bag upside down and shake then i quickly spin the pole rightleft several times to finish the job

At first i was hesitant to order because of some reviews saying that it did not move smoothly on the bottom of the pool or that the netting was not catching enough

It has triangular support openings that trap air which obscures visibility when you are going under the water
