New net has 2-layer construction, is lightweight, and moves easily thru water with little drag. Lightweight to use and yet sturdy. Skimmer works well and seems sturdy enough. It handles large debris as well as algae deposits pretty well.

Whats not good is that most skimmers these days have an edge that is designed for scooping stuff from the bottom of the pool
