Pros
It is much easier to connect the hose to this vacum than hook up the regular pool vacum where whole oak nuts sometimes plug the vacum hose.
Cons
Everything small on the bottom of the pool comes right thru the netting. Does not * up algae even with using pantyhose.

Since we closed our pool for winter and had not installed the winter cover the pool was full of fall leaves and we had no skimmer to plug in the normal vac

I did find vegs bags that had a smaller weave so every thing is sucked out

Uses a garden hose to creat pressure so most are much smaller and take too long
