I do like to give my guys the length of the leash but when there is a vehicle coming or there are other people approaching that they may not be familiar with im not fumbling to grab hold of them and hoping that the leash doesnt slip
We have several leashes at my house we have several dogs
The second handle makes it where you can grab hold of the larger dogs to keep them close with no problems and no chance of the leash slipping out of my hand
