The first pump i bought from hydroponics is in its second year of constant run. It is relatively silent for the size and gph rating. Only knock on it is that it doesn't have a sensor to shut it down when the water level gets too low.

Cons

This pump stopped working after being used for an ornamental fountain. Also had a plugging problem with the front filter.

I recommend avoiding this seller. Find a more reputable source or go to your local diy store.
