Almost all of them are cheaper but the main difference is that in the other products maps are printed on paper then laminated between thin back foam and transparent piece of plastic

Reading customers reviews there seem to be two problems with that approach not perfect lamination process which leaves pocket of air bubbles uneven regions here and there after some time edges splits paper map is exposed easy to rip edges starts to curl

It is large enough to sit under the keyboard and extends to the front of the desk allowing the users arms to rest on it

Although a separate mouse mat is currently being used specifically for the mouse the surface of the mat would also work but since the mat isnt massive the preference was to use it as an insulator on the glass work top
