Pros & Cons
Pros
Pool sweep does exactly what it needs to do…. It cleans and sweeps my pool quickly and without hassle. Saves me at least 90% of my cleaning effort for algae and debris. This means i still need to spend time with the wall brush removing algae even thou... Read More
The years testify to it's durability and quality. This is the best price out there for the same polaroid you would get at your local pool store.
Works quite well on my system (1hp) without a booster pump. Ideal pressure seems to be around 15-17 psi. If you have plumbing for a pressure side cleaner, then this is one i would recommend.
Cons
The gearbox is extremely fragile and stops working with any debris. The bag that collects the debris is a pain in the * and if it gets much weight from leaves etc it effects the operation of the vacuum. The vacuum gets stuck in corners a lot. It makes... Read More
I contacts polaris customer support three times over a 10-day period and was told each time that they would be sending a replacement part via fedex that day. Had problems from the start. Still having difficulty getting touch with tech support again.
Highlights
Quality
We had a similar but much larger polaris model for many years and it served us well i think we’ll stay with the brand from now on
The suggestions do not work and im looking at either returning the product or replacing the tail with the older design
Shipping
They need to stop attaching the sweep to the vacuum for shipping as that causes the tube to crease and weaken
Packaging/appearance
Meanwhile i have been using the old sweep on the new polaris and i have had no issues with it getting sucked into the bag
Competitiveness
In the 17 years of having our inground pool we have used polaris 360 exclusively
This unit is number 4 and i only ordered it due to unrepairable condition
Looking at the newer models i don’t want one that needs a cart who has space for that

The polaris gets stuck on steps and during the time its stuck there the tail with its brush gets sucked into the bag and that jams the system and prevents the polaris from moving
