Pros
Larger container so the ice water stays cold far longer. The pump is very quiet.
Tuck front of pad under sling strap. Recommend buying this to help with post surgery recovery. I believe it helped me heal faster especially with the setting features.
Timer is amazing, you set your on time for how long you want the cooling to run. The controller works well and is intuitive. Used mostly during the nite while sleeping.
Easy to assemble and program. Easy to clean/dry out. The instructions make it look harder than it actually is.
It does a most exemplary job icing my shoulder. It is reasonably priced and has more options than others for the listed price.
Cons
Forget about any kind of compression. The velcro straps are very wide and the velcro tab is prickly.
makes pad way too cold and melts all the ice way too soon. Now i have a $200 + ice machine sitting idle while using the insurance bought one which performs way better.
The remote is not long enough. What the photo does not show is the unit actually plugged in. I am concerned though that the actual engineering of it will fall short -- as evidenced by not being able to write a manual without 2 supplemental sheets.
