I was hoping the polar m430 watch would work well as a wrist based hr watch but unfortunately the heart rate reading was not correct as it takes the hr from your wrist and not from your heart

At the same time it linked via blue tooth to my smart phone and the polar beats app for supremely accurate measurements

Amusingly i had selected rowing but of course after 80 minutes of rowing it confirmed i had covered a mile as it was measuring the gps wander of my phone on a stationary rowing machine
