Pros & Cons

Pros

Billy collins' poetry 180 anthology features many contemporary writers. The anthology combines fun and insightful pieces. More anthologies like this one, please, billy collins.

This book is for students who win our poetry out loud contest. Readability seems to be the standard. It's wonderful to read individually, but also a very good tool in a high school english classroom.

This speaks what i was feeling. Still, for anyone wanting to develop familiarity with what has been going on in the world of poetry there is a lot of pleasure at a reasonable price.

Poetry 180 is filled with almost every human emotion. This makes it a delightful breeze. Beautifully crafted works all together in one compact book. A superbly well rounded work.

Cons

Billy collins has done himself and poetry a disservice with this haphazard selection. I was looking for works with rich symbolism and complex themes that i could practice dissecting. Good poetry seems to bypassed this volume.
