    I bought it to test poe switches and it immediately paid for itself when it displayed 50 volts on a port that shouldve been disabled

    This is not a fluke and it wont replace  this tester  but if you get it plus a cheap ethernet tester like  this one  or  this one  you can deal with a simple installation for 110 of the price
