While cruising along yesterday the machine started coughing and then started losing power so i set it back to full choke and it would run nicely but not much power to remove about a foot of powder

At about 12bucks a pop they now look like throwaways so i just ordered another spare

No… it’s not me abusing the little piece of chinese fine craftsmanship and i do use a fuel filter but when you’re throwing snow in a heavy wind the snow does accumulate on the carb cover melt and then run down in and perhaps that’s the problem with something getting sucked into it but i seriously doubt it since it wouldn’t even start the next day

I finally purchased on of these and it was like a new machine… quick starts and smooth operation under any load

It may not seem cost effective to some but having a spare carb on hand doesn’t leave me with much of an alternative when the machine isn’t running properly and now i can work on the dirty carb when it’s warmer and i’m in no hurry

You can pay a little less for this item but i had a similar carb on another piece of equipment and the gas line fitting was plastic and it didn’t last long
